Acuflex® DMD 100 3-ply and DM 100 2-ply polyester mat/polyester film laminates are constructed of high-density polyester mat and electrical grade polyester film bonded with Von Roll's Thermal Bond adhesive system.
The polyester film contributes high dielectric strength, tear, tensile and burst strengths. The high-density polyester mat in combination with Von Roll Isola's proprietary Thermal Bond adhesive and topcoat provides exceptional heat stability.
Acuflex® DMD 100 3-ply and DM 100 2-ply laminates are suitable for use in small, fractional to the largest rotating electrical equipment as slot, phase and end turn insulation and as ground and wrapper insulation in dry transformers. They are well suited for punched and fabricated parts and produce excellent heat formed parts such as wedges and slot interlining insulation. The smooth, non-sloughing surface of these materials allows for excellent performance and insertion via automated winding equipment. These laminates also meet the requirements of MIL-1-917D and MIL-1-22834.
