The insulation used for this high-voltage wire is a chemically cross-linked ethylene-propylene diene elastomer with a separator for improved stripability.
EPDM is naturally corona resistant and more heat resistant than many other rubber compounds and is able to take the longer bake cycles frequently needed for the big jobs.
EPDM has superior weather resistance and low temperature pliability.
