FLEXIBLE WEDGES

NOMEX® Wedges – Class C (220°C)
A high-temperature aramid paper formed into a Class C motor slot wedge. These wedges are hermetic approved, have excellent mechanical strength as well as the non-abrasive characteristics of the paper. Mil Spec: MIL-I-24204A.

NOMEX®-MYLAR®-NOMEX® (NMN) Wedges – Class H (180°C)
A high-temperature aramid paper laminated to either side of a polyester film. These slot wedges have superior mechanical strength as well as non-abrasive characteristics.

NOMEX®-MYLAR® (NM) Wedges – Class F (155°C)
A high-temperature aramid paper laminated to one side of a polyester film. These slot wedges have superior mechanical strength, non-abrasive characteristics and allow for easy insertion into the slot due to the MYLAR® film. 

TUFQUIN®-MYLAR®-TUFQUIN® (TFT or TMT) Wedges – Class H (180°C)
A high-temperature Tufquin paper laminated to either side of a polyester film. These slot wedges have superior mechanical strength as well as non-abrasive characteristics.

DACRON®-MYLAR®-DACRON® (DMD) Wedges – Class F (155°C)
A DACRON® mat laminated to either side of a polyester film. The slot wedge is tough, heat resistant and has good dielectric strength. These wedges are thin-walled, hollow-shaped and epoxy saturated for maximium rigidity. Mil spec: MIL-I-22834, hermetic approved.

RESILAM 180 Wedges – Class H (180°C)
RESILAM 155 Wedges – Class F (155°C)
Fibertek’s innovative DMD substitute formed into a motor slot wedge. Fibertek RESILAM outperforms the rest by remaining extremely flexible during heat aging of material. An extremely cost-effective Class H or Class F product solution.

MYLAR® Wedges – Class B (130°C)
Tough, resiliant, high tear-resistance, hermetic approved wedges. MYLAR®’s low coefficient of friction allows the wedges to slide easily over the windings. No mil spec.

Fiber Wedges – Class A (105°C)
Hard vulcanized fiber wedges, hermetic approved and specially processed to give the “snap break” feature. No mil spec.

RIGID WEDGES

Glass Wedges – Class 210
Made from G-9 glass melamine material. A high temperature resin reinforced with glass fibers. Recommended for stator applications. Not to be used in rotating equipment. Packaged 102′ bundles of 36″ lengths.

WOOD WEDGES

Wood Wedges – Class A (105°C)
Made from straight-grained, hard maple to resist breakage and splintering. Accurately machined, rough edges removed and wax-coated so that they slide easily into motor slots. The smooth wax finish also provides a moisture repellent coating for electrical protection. Snug-fitted to hold windings into place. Packaged in 500′ bundles of 36″ lengths.
