Electrowind stocks innovative, high-performance sleeving from Hilec Inc. and Varflex Corporation in a wide range of colours, sizes, wall thicknesses and constructions.
Electrowind represents two primary sleeving manfacturers, Hilec Inc. and Varflex Corporation. We stock a wide range of sleeving designed for use in a variety of UL insulation systems. Our sleeving products are designed to meet industry standards including UL, CSA, RoHS and military specifications and are used for:
- High and low temperature applications
- High and low voltage applications
- Abrasive and other physically demanding applications
- Flame resistance
- Military, UL and CSA requirements
- Harsh environments
- Compatibility with polyester, acrylic, epoxy, phenolic, formvar and other wire enamels
Our sleeving products are manufactured to the highest standards to insulate motors, generators, transformers, engines, appliances, lighting fixtures, switchgear, breaker panels and more. Electrowind also handles special requests for sleeving designed to meet your specific application.

NEMA GRADES*
Grades of sleeving are identified in terms of minimum average dielectric breakdown voltage as follows.
| NEMA GRADE | Minimum Average | Minimum Individual |
| A-1 | 7000 | 5000 |
| B-1 | 4000 | 2500 |
| C-1 | 2500 | 1500 |
| C-2 | 1500 | 800 |
| C-3 | No dielectric guarantee | No dielectric guarantee |
| Insulation Class | Temperature (°C) |
| S | 240 |
| R | 220 |
| H | 200 |
| F | 155 |
| B | 130 |
Assembly of codes is as follows: i.e. Insulation Class, NEMA Grade = S A-1
